Consumer Product Safety Commission Recalls Samnyte Tattoo Numbing Cream and Good Matters Three-Wick Candles

The numbing cream and candles pose health and fire risks with 9,000 and 30,100 units recalled, respectively.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled the Samnyte Tattoo Numbing Cream and the Good Matters Three-Wick Candle on Dec. 15.

The Samnyte Tattoo Numbing Creams, which are sold exclusively on Amazon and imported by Liu Xianli, were recalled due to failure to meet child-resistant packaging requirement and risk of poisoning.

The packaging of the cream, 9,000 units of which have been recalled, is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, and it contains lidocaine, posing a risk of poisoning to young children if ingested.

The Good Matters Three-Wick Candles were recalled due to fire and laceration hazards. The candles – 30,100 of which have been recalled – can burn at higher-than-usual temperatures causing the jars to break, posing fire and laceration injury hazards.
